Operasinger Eir Inderhaug grew up in Stavanger in Norway and received her education at The Rogaland Music Academy, The Opera Academy in Copenhagen and in Soloist Class at The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. She started her career early when she won the talent show 'Talentiaden' on Norwegian Broadcasting in 1991.
She has performed with most Norwegian symphony orchestras and have been on tour with the Norwegian Concert Institute, State Touring Theatre and The Danish Royal Theater in Copenhagen where she had her debut in 1999 as Barbarina in 'The Marriage of Figaro'. The same year she had the leading role as Giulia in Rossini's 'The Silken Ladder' (La scala di seta) at Malmö Music Theater.

In 2002-03 Eir worked at Staatstheater Nürnberg in Germany where she performed roles like Despina in 'Cosi Fan Tutte', Olympia in 'The Tales of Hoffmann', Anna in 'Lustige Weiber' and as Frasquita in 'Carmen'.

Between 2003-05 Eir was engaged at Deutsche Oper am Rhein where she performed roles like Blonde in 'The Abduction from the Seraglio', Adele in 'The Bat', and Ännchen in 'Freischütz'.

In 2006 she performed in 'Les Misserables' at Trøndelag Theater.

In 2007 she had different roles at The Gothenburg Opera like The Fiakermilli in 'Arabella' by R.Strauss and Blonde in 'The Abduction from the Seraglio' by Mozart. The latter she also performed at Komische Oper in Berlin.

In 2008 she performed at Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich as Autonoe in 'Die Bassariden' by Henze.

In 2009 she was singing Adele in 'The Bat' at Gothenburg Opera and Pamina in 'The Magic Flute' in Dalhalla in Sweden.

In 2010 she was singing "Iphis" in Händels "Jephtha" at the Royal Theater in Copenhagen and again Pamina in Dalhalla in Sweden..

In 2011 she performd a new written opera "Teskjekjerringa" in the title role with the Nordnorsk Opera.This summer you can see here as Lucie in the opera "Olav Engelbrektsson" at Steinvikholmen in Norway.

Eir has also contributed on several CD recordings. Worth to mention: Okkenhaug Songs 'Eg veit ei lita jente" and the Danish opera 'Belisa' where she sings the title role.

In 2001 she received 'Shellprisen' and the same follow-up scholarship award in 2002.
In Norway Eir is also known for her acting and singing performance as Gudrun in 'Spelet om Heilage Olav' (Stiklestadspelet/The Saint Olav Drama). In 2006 she received the Stiklestad Award. In 2007 and 2008 Eir was also engaged as Solveig in 'Peer Gynt' in Gålå. Eir is also known for her interpretation and performance of 'Haugtussa'.
In 2003 Eir was selected Norwegian Concert Institutes 'Intro Musician'. She has also participated in many Norwegian music festivals. In 2008 she received excellent reviews for her performances during Risør Chamber Music Festival.
